And probably kongou was already left (If the Anime's current timing is around december 1944),so yeah basically ooyodo almost had no rivals.

I have a crazy theory that she might used to be fusou's rival.

I think the admiral forgot to un-mute Ooyodo in the in-game universe, unless the two chuckles she did during the episode count as a voice performance ?

Compared to the first anime, she actually looks a lot more relaxed now that her job doesn't involve sharing admiral's responsibilities with Nagato. As Ooyodo simp, I'm actually happy that she gets to smile and not looking stern 24/7. It's more faithful to her in-game self.

Besides, it would be seen as stepping out of line had she joined the conversation between the admiral and Shigure without being asked to.
