It's specific to Arthurian myth. Not only that, but Saber can't end up there either, because she's destined to end up in the Throne of Heroes, and the ship that takes King Arthur there in the real legend (before he dies) never came for her either.

There are several different interpretations of the RN ending. It could be Archer that is there, or it could just all be a dream.

It's pure fanservice, really.
