    Weapons are just to bear

I'm a fan of old Soviet military equipment, but I don't want to see them actually being fired at people.
I understand that the positions of both Russia and Ukraine are complicated, but I want weapons to be possessed, yet not used.

I may be criticized for having a "frivolous attitude", but I just hope the people out there are safe.

The war isn't their will, they're just following orders

One man saved the entire world by not taking orders to launch a nuke. His name was Stanislav Petrov, a Russian.
Surely there's at least few of them Russians out there that can disobey orders to attack non-combatants or not looting the dead?

Russia's awfully proud of their scorched earth tactics. So much so, it's very difficult to sympathize with them.

I may not agree with Russia (specially now), but sometimes I think they have a point. In any case they serve as a great counterbalance for the USA. Who knows in what kind of terrorism everyone else would be if NATO nations had absolute control of everything. Same applies for Russia, don't get me wrong.

Nuclear bombing civilians in Japan, flamethrowering Vietnam and making up massive destruction weapons on other nations are peace keeping? That's new to me. Following history cycles you are this close to be sent again to war and you'll forget everything bad someone else did, because is your turn to do them now... as always.

I can't fully side with anyone, especially with the larger weapon manufacturer in the world that got rich through blood from billions of people killed by ammo made in USA. Your government is impatiently awaiting for the next global conflict so they can escape recession and fill their pockets again.

Curb your whataboutism. At least the US didn't backstab Japan and gave back Okinawa and Ogasawara by the 1970s unlike the Russians who nonchalantly broke the non-aggression pact (I know it was agreed upon at Yalta w/ other Allied members, but still) and still hold on to the four Northern Islands like no tomorrow. Not to mention the whole Donbass/Crimea situation that escalated in the last 18 months by the Kremlin.

Even disregarding history of Russian treachery, Russians are currently too incompetent to be peace keepers even if you buy into their ideological bs. They claim the current invasion to be the battle against the west when the west hasn't been able to send a single trooper against them due to Ukrainian's neutral status, and aren't able to win. The Russian casualty count by their admission exceed decades of US casualties in a single year. Not to mention all the equipment they lost in the opening fight because they couldn't keep their logistics open.

Historical revisionist America haters always bring this up, as if Japan wouldn't have ended up considerably worse off had the bombs not been dropped. They were losing, and they were not going to give up no matter what, even if every single Japanese citizen was killed, and many of them were committing suicide to avoid capture by Allied forces. The projected Japanese casualties were significantly worse than the projected Ally losses if an invasion had been attempted instead, the bombs had to be dropped to break the Japanese spirit, and it was a last resort. They explored every other possible option.

eh, half true. it really wasn't a unanimous decision and the bomb was gonna drop regardless due to wanting to scare the soviets and to get the accurate effect of the bomb. Plenty in the US thought that Japan would break if the surrender terms were clearer/military was already broken
On the other half, Japan's higher ups barely registered the bomb, only truly giving up once they realized that there would be no outside help and used the bomb's devastation and the emperor's generosity to the common people as a cover to surrender to the US.

whether those who expressed such opinions had full picture is debatable, but it's not necessarily so cut and dry.

Russia is definitely garbage right now though. The clown is definitely wrong as he usually is.

Right, keep ignoring the fact USA is the largest weapon manufacturer in the world. Weapons that have killed more people on peace times than two World Wars together. If you can justify the bombing on two civilian cities the Russians can also justify their actions too, because both are monsters looking at each other like their own reflection on the mirror. Better they keep an eye on each other than kill one so the remain can freely terrorize the rest like a Roman empire.

I won't target direct insults at you when you can't handle inconvenient truths like you do. I simply ignore any further posts because you know better that I don't make up facts. I rest my case.

You repeat the same things over and over again like a broken record, and even when people do respond and counter your claims, you just dismiss them and repeat all the same claims again. Either get some new talking points or just stop, because you never contribute anything new to the conversation.

You already said this garbage on the AI pictures comment about how I'll be ignored by you, yet you won't or can't. Only inconvenient truth is that you aren't banned from this site already for some bizarre reason. I've seen accounts with less posts, less negative remarks be permanently banned. I don't know what devil you made a bargain with to be a permanent tumor on this site.

Why are you even here? The site is obviously ideologically against your beliefs in the first place, you aren't actually getting any visibility or support since it's buried under negative votes, and you already admitted to blacklisting bunch of tags for bunch of dumb reasons with virtue signaling "tee hee, I forgot to blacklist this" comment posts. In a site where there's users everywhere, and no avatars, but you manage to stand out for years on every post, on every comment as the worst entity on this site. I referred you as a clown earlier, but I have to apologize to the clowns.

For a country invading another country on the grounds of "removing Nazis," they oddly have a lot of Nazis fighting for them and are supportive of Nazis movements around the world.
