This also makes good sense, though. Blaidd would not let Death take Ranni, and Ranni's trickery with Destined Death let her cheat her end which distorted the natural order with Those Who Live In Death.

Death the wolf would not be happy with this, and have every reason to track down Ranni, with Blaidd trying to hold him off.
