When one feels that the affection directed toward or demanded of them is excessive, it's called 愛が重い (lit. "The love is heavy") in Japanese.
So, while the choice of the word 想い (here, feelings or affection) may be intended as a pun, I think 想いが basically means "It's about my feelings, not chocolate".
