every time I see this... I can only bring my palm to my face and sigh.

I can't help but notice that his hand doesn't actually seem to be holding the sword. As if it was pasted in after he was drawn.

I thought it was more of his grip being strong enough to pierce through the stone to hold the sword

...and don't get me wrong there. I hate Heavens' Feel for a lot of reasons.

That's probably right. He was duplicating Berserker's strength after all, and if anyone can hold a sword like that and wield it effectively you'd think it would be fucking Heracles.

I am seriously impressed. You must be one of the few who actually knows the original Greek name.

"Heracles" is pretty common knowledge. In relation to F/sn I think it's the name most people use.

Which you mentioned why, exactly?

Whether or not you like Sakura (and, evidently, you don't), it doesn't make any difference to how awesome Shirou's use of Berserker's sword is, or to this picture in any way.

I don't think that's a weapon where dexterity matters.

That's intentional, because the arm is Archer's arm, which was grafted onto him, and Archer is bigger than him due to being a fully-grown adult.

I thought 'Heracles' was the Roman bastardisation of the name Hercules. Turns out it's the other way around, if you trust Wikipedia, anyway.

It is.

Heracles means "glory of Hera", and in the Greek mythology he was named that in an attempt to appease Zeus' wife, who was annoyed because Zeus had a child with someone else (it didn't work...). Since the equivalent Roman goddess went by a different name (I think it was "Juno", but I'm not certain), the Romans bastardised the name into "Hercules". But, since the Romans ruled Greece by that point, their version of the name has tended to be the more popular one.
