If anything, she needs to do it perpendicular to the footprints.

Since people around the world watches too much CSI Miami and never know how CSI (crime scene investigation) actually works, you're NOT ONLY supposed to look for the most 'complete' print (with all parts of the sole leaving mark) but 'specific' prints where you could tell the particularities of who left that print there. The complete print was used to determine the type of the footwear, the specific prints tells you the weight, the sex, the walking habit, and unique identifiers for that certain pair of shoe (has rock trapped between the sole lines, certain type of dirt/soil not in the area, traces of biological contaminant i.e plant pollen/spore/dead leaf/animal hair) and other details. It's never as simple as doing dusting of the prints.

I'm sure this is a common happening with the TPD and they have specific contingencies to resolve it.

Based on the size and shape of the footprint, I'd say it was a lady's shoe...

So, will next picture be a big breasted burglar caught and inconveniently stuck on the window? Trapped between two narrow spaced walls? Breast triggering the laser alarm? Found out her hiding spot by an uncovered bulge?
