Well, it is a legitimate reason for deletion.
But the artist has to oficially complain about it.
Otherwise, 99.99% of the content wouldn't be here.

Usually artists go through albert to get posts removed. This seems strange to me.

If nobody fesses up in 24 hours I'll just reapprove it, assuming someone doesn't beat me to the punch.

that would have been me. couple of years back one of the artists i watched on devaintart got hit by a few art thieves. I miss remembered the artist (realized earlier today =/ sorry) so go ahead and re approve
