Posting Artwork fromm REAL Nazis (Arens book ist from 1941) seems problematic to me!
I don't see a problem. The Nazis were defeated and brought to justice. The author died in 1979. Looking at a drawing on a website won't launch a second Holocaust. Anyone so immature they run the risk of radicalization simply by looking at a picture shouldn't be allowed on the internet without supervision.

Good idea, but difficult to manage!
Being born and raised in Germany and having seen enough people with romantic ideas about the Wehrmacht and Waffen-SS, a picture MEANT to glorify the German forces, at the same time they were bringing war, death and suffering to most of Europe (in June 1941 the Operation Barbarossa started), makes my skin crawl! Another thing: A picture from 1941 seems anachronistic in danbooru.

The source of the art isn't the problem; Danbooru has long hosted work by artists who espouse views similar to that of the Nazis. We don't care who created the art as long as it was an actual person and not just AI.
The problem is that Danbooru is still nominally a "repository of high-quality anime-style art and doujinshi", so old Western sketches like this are arguably beyond this gallery's scope. If this is allowed, then there's nothing stopping anyone from uploading high-quality scans of everything from Picasso's paintings to Norman Rockwell's magazine covers. A line must be drawn somewhere.

This has been precisely my concern with some other posts from this uploader, with responses from moderation always being "Danbooru isn't exclusively an anime imageboard" when anyone complains about them. Why even have an off-topic category if the only thing we're ever going to enforce as off-topic are things that explicitly break the rules. Some things just shouldn't be here.
