Sucrose's a fox. Technically she's closer to dogs.
Uh, since when? Was this confirmed in an event or something? Cause I've only ever seen random people suggesting different animals with no more conclusive evidence than any other possibility.

Compare Sucrose's ears with Yae Miko with how they flop behind.
That's not conclusive evidence. Sucrose having fox ancestry is still just a theory, shouldn't mislead people into thinking otherwise.
Sucrose isn't sure what she is, but it is said in one of her lines that she understands she isn't of the same species as Diona. She is also not one of the "dog-like" race like Gorou. But she is studying them all to try and figure it out. Thus it is logical that she is more likely similar to Yae Miko. Though she wouldn't be the same.
Yae Miko is a animal type yokai (an animal that through many years became a yokai and gained power and can even take human form), just like Kirara. Though Yae Miko's much more powerful thank Kirara, as seen that Kirara cannot fully transform her feet to human ones.
But back on Sucrose, she is most likely a Fox-variant of animal/human hybrids. Thing is, we haven't seen any ones other than Cat and Dog people... So where Sucrose came from is kind of unknown (who knows, maybe it happened because of an alchemical mishap done by the one's that conceived her... creating a new fox-human species).
The reason she's compared though more to Yae Miko than any other (as pointed out by others) is that the style of ears is the same. Both also do not have visible tails, unlike the cat-humans (Diona) and dog-humans (Gorou).
Sucrose could also be a fox yokai, like Yae Miko instead of a new fox-human species....., but for that to be the case, she would have to have a serious case of amnesia, forgetting her time as a fox, gaining power over the many many many long years, slowly being able to take up such a complete humanoid form.....

Small caveat. Not that it changes anything with the Miko power dynamic, but Kirara can change her feet to human feet. It's one of her voicelines. "I can use my youkai powers to turn them into human feet, but I feel way more at ease walking in my claws and paw pads."
