Those are the worst sort of skin injuries, the ones where you have to clean it before it goes all weird thanks to the gravel. I had a bad one on my palm once. It wasn't nice at ALL.

Fell during football... ended up with one on each knee, and one on my right palm...
This happened to me once, 'cept it was roller blades. Those scrapes really are the worst, particularly in the knee area. Any kind of knee injury (or elbow injury for that matter) is all kinds of painful, but those scrapes are the worst.... -__-;

This! Even worse, I was like two blocks away from my house in a neighborhood where I would never see that bike again if I left it there, so I ended up walking alongside the bike (hurt so bad I couldn't bring myself to ride it)while letting my broken arm rest on the space between the handlebars. Not fun and having to wrap my cast in a garbage bag evey time I got near water sucked (especially when my family went to the water park anyway, even knowing I couldn't join them in the water... jerks).
A few years back I was walking my dog (a German Shepherd who is now deceased) down the stairs when somebody had let their tiny dog out off of its leash. The little piss ant of a dog got too close to me as I was walking down stairs and my dog lunged past me and his leash wrapped around my leg as I was on the 4th stair. He pulled me down and my left elbow landed on the sidewalk. Needless to say the concrete acted similar to a cheese grater on my skin. There were little kids around so resisted swearing. I grunted, stood up, let my dog (who had now realized what he had done and had his ears glued to his head when he faced me) do his business as some blood dripped onto the grass (I don't bleed for long). I had work that day (as a bagger in a busy store) so I patched myself up and went to work with one usable arm (couldn't bend it for two days).
Bah, try getting four of them. When i was a wee lad, a motorbike clipped me and sent me tumbling to the asphalt. Both of my knees and elbows were scraped quite bad, luckily there was no broken or dislocated bones. But that wasn't the worst part... the wound still oozed a steady-but-small amount of pus (later i learned that this is perfectly normal) as it heals even when it's cleaned... and let's just say my house and surrounding areas were not exactly fly-free. Plus our family doctor recommended not to cover the wounds as it inhibit healing.
Every time I try to move it, it feels like it's getting hit again...EienteiGweegh...It hurts... it hurts, oh my God does it hurt...I didn't cwy......'cuz I'm Tewi's big sis!It huuuuurrrrts...Heh... heheh, well done, well done...
