I can say this one is one of my favorites works from zounose. He did bring up a good topic. The way everyone won zero sum game is interesting. Money is a wanted thing as long as you live in a society for the usefulness in almost situation, so losing money -> the fear, losing money to gain something in advance can still be considered lost in some case, for example a boring book, some silly device you bought in high spirit, spending money for its own sake like in this doujin. Actually value always fluctuates, I'm not telling about price, in different periods and individuals so the case mentioned here will be before and right after exchange to make it simple.

The reason why I said the case in this doujin is a zero sum game is that it is literally the same one in Liar game or nearly. Not everyone is driven by a goal to gain more money but they all fear of losing money and gods are gamemaster. The rule is simple:
+They gives players lots of box and money to purchase
+There are two sides, seller (have boxes, no money) and buyer (have money, no box)
+Each box contains one kind of shape
+Each shape is applied for a team
+If the shape you get is the one of your team, you gain +1; if not, -1
+Players win when they reach (*) points

Following the rule, the act of purchasing is satisfied if the merchandise wrapped in a box so buyers won't know what is inside 'till they open. If sellers can't sell enough of his stuff, and buyers don't buy anything, they lose, except you are a lucky seller with enough right shape from the start. Did you see the point in this game? You actually don't need to use money to win the game but gain more money is the reason you join the game so your motivation actually drives you far from the victory because you scare of losing it and the act of buying any box contains a high risk.

For reasons above, Marisa and those fairies are the first winner.

I'm too lazy to type, so I will stop and not explain deeper.

Even though zounose illustrations for his doujin are still lack of many aspects to become actually good but the topics he has brought up may among the best in the fandom.

These illustrations were the hardest yet. There were lots of characters, many crowds, and many dense backgrounds.
I tried to portray every new character in Unconnected Marketeers. Although I tried to show off every new character, I couldn't detail each of them fully. Especially Misumaru, there were too many important mysteries for me to accurately depict her. Please send me more information!!!
    Afterword
Chimata, on the rebound from last time when she was so dismal, is acting the part of the god much better this time. It could be said that she is in a good mood. As a result, she's in the role of something of a 'deus ex machina', but... ...well, she's a god, so what the heck!
This time, I drew the beast spirits of Animal Hell as they are in the item icon, since they appear for a gag. Even though I drew them as in the game, in my mind, they are actually animals (or their anthropomorphic forms). I wonder what they actually are? More official information to come here too !!!!
In the comic, bartering is made to sound like a primitive form of exchange. Some people believe that barter markets didn't exist prior to the monetary system. It's hard to say. It's very difficult. Also, I drew money in the comic. I wonder what the currency is like in Gensokyo? I have often wondered about this in my previous comics.
I've applied for my next comic to be published at the winter doujin convention. If I'm accepted and the event is held successfully, I'd love to publish my work there. I haven't done an ink-based story in a long time, so I'd like to draw something... but it was really hard this time, so I haven't been able to think about my next plan at all. Though it's such a small work, thank you very much for reading.
Zounose here. This is my 47th book. As you can see in the afterword, this was the first book I made within a week after the distribution of "Unconnected Marketeers". There is no direct connection with my previous work, "Before the Rainbow", but since that is a prequel to "Unconnected Marketeers" and this is a sequel to "Unconnected Marketeers", I thought it would be interesting to see how the two works are somehow connected.
