I (very) briefly toyed with the idea of translating the videos. Problem is, there's no way of doing it without serious video editing.

Subtitles wouldn't work because the screen would get cluttered too quickly- you'd have to blank out parts of the screen and overwrite them in properly resized English. Maybe one of those really good subbers could pull it off, but they're too busy doing other things. A script could be made and read alongside, but it'd have to refer to different parts of the screen at different times- a complete mess. The easiest way to do it would actually be translating the "game" itself and replaying it, but the game doesn't actually exist (it's a series of carefully arranged RPG Maker scenes designed to look like a complete game, and there are no plans for releasing it).

So the comic is the only practical option for now.

Couldn't you just upload the video and use that Closed Caption feature for the translation?

Youtube's Closed Caption feature is basically simple subtitles. The videos feature in-game menus (inventory, battle, etc.); some of the jokes are in what they're equipped with and what the names of their moves are. I'd compare it more to translating an anime OP, with supertitles and sidetitles and so on.

Also, it'd be a ton of work, and I'm too lazy.

I saw the first one... watched Buront say some famous lines, get kicked around for several minutes, and resort to a bomb... while that's what I'd expect from forum-troll Buront, it doesn't seem like it'll hold my interest.

First one is simply an introduction. The plot thickens later. Anyway, if it's not your thing, it's fine. I'll be uploading the whole series on youtube and maybe translating it myself later. The problem is, my English isn't that great and I'm probably even lazier than you.
