Maybe if you are trying to star in an action flick. You do that in war and oops, there goes your brain, splattered on the ground by guy with one pistol who can actually aim and shoot.
Yeah... Dual wielding kills you as long as you don't practice for like 4-5 years* before actually attempting real-life-action with it... Otherwise, it gives you more ammo without reloading, and the ablity to cover multiple angles...
And it can be meant for swords and the like as well... Where the proper user can become one of the most dangerous opponents. And it looks badass too :p
With bows... Unless they are armed crossbows, no, dual wielding will only make you... yeah... look idiotic... and probably dead.
With firearms larger than pistols and machine pistols, you wouldn't be able to wield two of them unless you spend like half of your life actually practicing... and it still might result in an early funeral...
Well... As long as I care to think, properly honed dual wielding skills will make your survival rate better, and you will look badass too...

Uh... no. Have you ever shot a pistol? Dual wielding pistols is pointless,"cool" movie/game stuff.
Every proper shooting stance involves holding the pistol with *both* hands, not mentioning the fact you would be able to aim (read: shoot) with only one weapon at the same time, no matter what.
You would feel the recoil much more, thus being able to do only very slow follow-up shots, with less support your hand would shake more and the trigger pull would affect the accuracy more.
If one weapon chewed on the brass, misfired, or you emptied the mag, it would be pretty much useless, because it's next to impossible to effectively perform tap-rack-bang or change the mag one-handed.
To sum it up, a person with the same level of training (be it days or decades) is infinitely more effective with a single handgun than with two at the same time.

As valid as the arguments against dual-wielding guns in real life are... Koakuma isn't human. I've no problems with thinking that some human limitations can be exceeded by a devil, even if she's fairly weak in the Touhouverse.

You're still forgetting one thing. Then again, all of you are. Koakuma is NOT HUMAN. Those rules only apply to HUMANS. She is a Devil. And who's to say she can't look in two directions?

Well, I believe she can't look other than her eyes restrict her to. But, you know, there's this sweet thing called "aura sensing" in fiction.
