I think the ideal world is where we just all accept each other for who we r, rather than expecting everyone to be a certain way. As long as who u r isn't hurting anyone, then there's no issue, yet somehow some people will make up a reason just to hate to find fulfillment in their life. Like, even though I'm a heterosexual male, just because someone is gay or looks like a girl but has a dick, as long as I'm aware of that, I'll just make it clear I'm not into them that way if they were to develope feelings for me, just the same if someone wasn't attracted to me if I asked them out just the same. The typical narrowminded and immature mentality that all relationships lead to sex and one should first announce the contents of their pants before anything else, as well as the only two possible responses one can come up with are violence or fleeing like their life is at stake. I can understand your concern for the latter, given that you are in all likelihood pro-abortion and think that it's a human right.
But let's just move past the mutual disdain for a moment, because I am genuienly confused about what you think is wrong for the former one. Women and girls who get pregnant ARE at a disadvantaged positions in many ways, whether it's academic performance, financial troubles, mental burden, etc. Bonus points if you get dumped by your boyfriend or get shunned by your family or society.
At the very least, government funding helps ease the financial burden part and makes life easier. I think it's quite a noble endeavor.

Russia has serious demographic problems. The problem is that instead of solving structural problems (in fact, they are deepening them. Economy, inequality, social services, foreign policy, immigration...) officials are using methods of direct stimulation. And their “traditions” exist only when it is personally beneficial to officials. For example, Patriarch Kirill of Moscow sent an appeal to the authors of the draft laws banning the propaganda of child-free, calling on them to make amendments to the documents that would exempt monks and nuns from their application (lawmakers just didn't think about it :), and there are also things like this and these. My favourite is Sultan Khamzayev's and Tatyana Butskaya's initiatives. One shouldn't think about Russian official politics in terms of left/right, there are no left or right. It's more about idiots/thieves/sycophants/hypocrites.
