Damn those lips. Had the artist done the facial features just a bit more generic manga style, this would be one of my absolute favorite Patchouli solos.

So do I. Excellent detail without trying to be almost over-realistic, which can often ruin the "anime-feel" or "2D-feel" of the image.

She looks little old here but that just makes it better.

Probably just that the added detail makes her "not my type" in this case, while a more iconic approach leaves space for my imagination.

Most of the time I do not like realistic Marisa pictures either, although there have been exceptions.

The problems with the lips is because they're too wide.

This picture really makes her look more like a real magician, rather than some anime character who casts spells. It's also by far the most gentle image I've seen of her.
