Would of been a LOT easier on people if someone had suggested HAVING a kid that would be less problematic instead of just complaining. Solutions people!
This ending did indeed suck. To think the author would troll us like that by having the baby actually be the immortal Kaguya in infant form... which means Okuu's heart-break was for nothing (or maybe it was the author's way of explaining how the baby survived exposure to all that heat, radiation, and the G forces of Okuu and later Marisa's flying).
Personally, I think it would have been better to flash forward a few years to show us the girl, happy and healthy in the human village, running around with her favorite toy as Okuu watches from high above with a smile!
