Implying that all of her experiences in Gensokyo are simply dreams or hallucinations covering... this.

The idea behind it is that Gensokyo - and all of Sanae's awesome adventures with crazy wacky fun friends like Kogasa! - are all a product of her imagination, as, in real life, she's a shut-in cripple that never actually gets to do anything, with nothing to keep her company but a toy snake (inspiration for Kanako), a toy frog (inspiration for Suwako) and purple parasol (inspiration for Kogasa).

This isn't even the worst version of this picture; the original version had Sanae with brown hair, not even giving her the decency of her fun green hair.

That just upgrades this to Soul Crushing. This is as bad as the final episode of Fosters picture

This is a sad thought, but I'd hardly consider it soul-crushing. There are many other similar theories that that are far closer to soul crushing than this. (That said, this is sort of like /jp/'s watered down version of the "Ash is in a coma" theory, huh?)

Wait, what? It so is soul-crushingly depressing. All because there's worse, doesn't make bad not bad. What you're saying is like being a few hundred thousand dollars in debt isn't really being in debt because there's people with tens of millions of dollars in debt. It's a non sequitor. Besides, this is really fu#$ed up, if this doesn't fit your definition of soul-crushingly depressing, then there's something wrong with your definition.

Heart-breaking? Yes, perhaps. Soul-crushing? No. If you've lived the life I've lived, you'd see why my version of what is soul-crushing is worse than this. Are you going to say something is wrong with my definition because of that? Are you going to tell a person who lives a life similar to this who finds the life bad but livable that their life is soul-crushing? That's somewhat insulting to them, at least in my OPINION, which is what Poliwag was expressing that you seem to think is wrong.

Look on the bright side. She might get inspiration from her little world. Maybe write some books, or perhaps turn it into a shoot-em-up...

An argument and fifteen replies in less than six hours.

Of course. This is 4chan here. Any of the boards could induce WWIII in less than six hours if they thought it was worth the lulz.

The 4chan you're talking about died 3+ years ago.

/b/ used to be revolting, hilarious and stupid. Now it's just stupid. /jp/ used to be helpful, polite, resourceful and pretentious. Now it's just pretentious. /k/ used to be educational, knowledgeable, pedantic and hateful. Now it's just hateful.

    Et cetera ad nauseam.

this. the last good board was /x/, and it too was lost in the end of 2008. only reason to go there anymore is for the occasional new wallpaper from /wg/ when I don't want to use something from here.
