Someone translate it, please. I'm so curious what Alice is saying! I've tried to translate it by myself but it exceeds my abilities. I can't neither figure out what is she trying to say in Japanese nor how to make any logical and valid sentence in English.
So until someone do us a favour I'll put what I've got just for you to have any idea what's going on in the picture (excluding Shinki's hiding behind a rose).
1st bubble: Yumeko (Shinki's maid) was kneeling... Made only a request 2nd bubble: nothing 3rd bubble: it's nothing to cry about like that
That's a carnation, actually - not a rose. Carnations are very closely associated with Mother's Day and many of the colors have links to maternal love, directly or indirectly. In both western flower symbolism and hanakotoba, deep red carnations represent earnest and ardent love and compassion. I'm sort of inclined to say they're one of the most traditional mother's day color choices, historically.
I'm afraid the previous translation wasn't really right. I've fixed it. The story is probably that Yumiko begged Alice into sending Shinki Sama a carnation on Mother's Day. And Shinki Sama cried out on her receiving of the tiny present from her beloved daughter. Nice story, isn't it? Thank you Alice.
nemochin said: Oh, it's a bit late now but on a Pixiv this image has a title "Mother's Day" so I suppose a possible translation would be something like:
"Yumeko was kneeling and begging me to do that so there's nothing to cry about like that."
If this is Fuantei's Alice, I'd say Shinki's reaction is pretty calm.
I said I only did it because Yumeko prostrated herself and supplicated......I never expected......you would cry like this ...Ugu! Euuuu...
