Pokemon's always been a bit unhinged - Geodude is a rock - but then they're just animals and it doesn't pretend to be properly hinged. This on the other hand is supposed to be a proper human character, that's not just nuts, it's the whole nut plantation!

If a carbon rod, a plank and a Wilson volleyball made good human characterizations I'm also sure an apple will.
