First time trying single layer thick brush paint, and I saved a making-of while I was at it, reuploading~ P1 is the art, P2 is the making-of
This is a birthday gift for a friend! Even though it is already early morning when I sent it but still I wish him a happy birthday! (Originally wanted to draw a few more pieces but I realised I didn't have the time x)
During the draft phase I tried to recreate the artstyle of Violet in the anime, but towards the end of the drawing process... I just began free styling qwq, struggled for a very long time while drawing the clothes (towards the end I was physically and mentally tired x), the face and the hair was fairly fast, I am actually fairly good at drawing portraits x
In conclusion I won't be trying the single layer again... this experience has been nothing but tumultuous x, if I haven't been tweeking the palette multiple times I would've had the courage to post it x
