Tip to @sarew11 : The community tends to frown on self-published work. If you're uploading your own work to danbooru, no matter the quality, it probably won't be approved.
Never say never... I've seen self-upload posts get approved here on some occasions. Not that I believe this particular one would, but just saying.
They can get approved if they're good enough. There aren't any rules against them. It's just uncommon for self-uploaders to upload "high quality" pieces. They're often mediocre at best.

I always feel that self-upload posts will get scrutinized a lot more than normal uploads. This isn't Deviant Art or Tumblr. We're a bit more discerning here.

They might, Approvers are allowed to be biased, but you'd have to ask them.
