Second this, new design not really show crazy type girl.
New design conveys the "Tyrant of Gold" moniker well... though yeah, it loses the duality of the previous design where she's usually quiet and timid only to turn 180 degree psycho in races (like the IRL Orfevre).
Guess they want to make all the Triple Crowns "cool" or majestic or something. Take Brian, whose IRL counterpart was a big coward who spooked easily and was afraid of his own shadow. Puipui will probably get changed up as well when they implement her.

TBh, Umamus characters tend to be the type to have quirks under the surface. To use Brian again, she comes off as cool, collected and intimidating, but hides a more childish crybaby-ish side who refuses to eat her veggies. I wouldn't be surprised if Psycho Orfy gets incorporated into her new character/design. Maybe to contrast with her regal appearance.

I doubt they'll pass up her bad temper episode given how very public some of his episodes are.
