That's a possibility, but I don't think we should tag it as such. We don't really see anything of it except for the barrel, the slide, the magazine, and the heat shield. Given that the character is clearly meant to be a Russian/Soviet soldier, I think it's more likely that the shotgun is one of the copies of the Remington 870 that were made in the country in the 80s and 90s, such as the IZh-81. I haven't seen any pictures of those with heat shields, though, so it's a mystery.
Worth noting that the IZh-81 was adopted by the Russian military in small numbers.
