When I read Kanako's lines I hear Jubei's English voice (from BlazBlue)...

When I first started reading Kanako's speech I thought she was trying to act younger than she is.

Was this picture colored in paint or something?
Still love it, but it just looks so odd.

Not sure where you're seeing that. What's kind of interesting is that there's no way she got X-rayed already; she just got called, and (for some fucked up reason) Eirin is taking the BP herself. The very first thing that happens in a clinic is you get your pulse taken. It's like how in ancient times the first (and often last) thing they did was take your pulse (and base most of the diagnosis off that).

I guess it could be up for a reference in case, like if it was taken the last time for some reason... but it doesn't make sense for what Kanako is complaining about. The BP check makes sense (heart/chest pain, history of alcohol abuse). I *guess* the X-ray could be an angiogram (the cross-hatching might support that suggestion)... but it's not only the wrong body positioning, but the background in coronary angiography is usually white/clear rather than black.
