A somewhat fantastic reconstruction of Spinosaurus Aegyptiacus, as a gold-skined Egyptian river dragon. I've been working on this piece sporadically for some months by now, and just as I was finishing it, the new info on tail was published, prompting me to question what the hell I've been doing with my life. Well, I've decided to salvage it nevertheless, and worked in the new tail shape as best as I could. Even though I'm now pretty sure this isn't how the beast actually looked like (the heavy scales and crests I've given it obviously don't fit well with delicate fish-like vertebrae found in new tail), I'm overall quite happy with how it turned out.

I should also probably mention that the piece was based on (now outdated) skeleton reconstructions done by SpinoInWonderland and VitaminImagination. So, thanks and shout out to those guys!

Also, detailed version together with workflow can be seen here.
