As it's just a simplified version of dialogue from PCB, I added the Touhou wiki's translation of that line.

Looks like a Game Boy (original) screen there.

It even has the right resolution for a Game Boy.

Not sure if this kind of detail is possible for it, though - but then again, would Touhou be possible at all given how much spam is flying around? :P So acceptable breaks from reality n' all that.

I read the power as "Lag" rather than "109". Coincidence?

It should be a bit greener to simulate the old brick model more but still good.

True, but on most GBs that have seen so much sunlight in their years, their screens have started to gain a slight yellow tint.

Also, as awesome as touhou on GB sounds, I guess the hardware really cant handle the amount of objects on screen.
Not to forget the laggy and blurry screen of the old brick model.

you may not be able to get an exact port, but the gameboy had ports of Gradius and Contra as well as a couple parodius games. As well as Gun Nac a good ol compile shooter, so a modified version might be possible

I'd get four new AA batteries to play this.

Pfft. True enthusiasts bought a third party rechargeable battery pack.

Haha, nice job spotting that! But, uhh, usually i have around 110 power or so on Stage one. Might have been a very weird coincidence

Or zero AA batteries if you used an AC adapter.

if I played this on my gameboy there would have a yellow line right on the HScore numbers, then I wouldnt be able to tell apart 3, 5, 6, 8 and 0... just like on pokemon with the opponent lvs

Sounds like your GB screen could need its contacts checked.

Actually, the Pocket took AAAs. Still only two, of course.

Naturally, there were a lot of complaints about battery life for it.

You'd have to butcher the danmaku patterns, however.

But if I recall correctly, someone did make an NES version of EoSD.
