It's not my habit to post something unrelated to the image, but I think I'll make this an exception. And it's not significant enough to be posted on the forum anyway.
With this, I've reached my 30,000th translated note, and I will hereby resign. This will be the end of my contributions, and I'll no longer be affiliated with this site.
Some might wonder why the sudden voluntary resignation. Aside from my having contributed to this site for nearly 2 years and considering moving on in favor of other hobbies, there are a few policies that I could never agree with. They don't sit well with me, and even when I voiced my dissent, no actions were taken. Most likely, none probably ever will. You can say that I feel alienated by these matters, or perhaps it's not the site's fault and just me being picky with my own ideals.
Thinking back, I began this work after lurking in pooshlmer, where I found a thread for the Touhou Tag Dream . Since it combines two series that I'm interested in, I was quickly hooked by it. That's when I decided to contribute my knowledge of other series that others are not familiar with.
For those who wish to find me, you can still find me lurking in pooshlmer from time to time, or perhaps with some luck, a search on Google. I will still be doing translations and contributing to the fanbase, but it will mostly be for friends.
And before I officially leave for good, here are a few words of thanks:
- To r0d3n7z , for working with me to translate the first half of the Gensoukyo's Great Sports series . He might not be translating much these days, but without his help back then, the series might not have had as many people anticipating it as it does now.
- To スラッシュ , for promoting me to the rank of a contributor. It's an honor to be given such a role. And I also thank you for voicing your opinions and allowing the upload of A Bright Future #3 .
- To this site, for being a part of my life until now. I've been rewarded, thanked, and even ridiculed throughout my days of contribution. And without danbooru, I don't think I'd be able to befriend some of the artists out there.
- And lastly, to everyone who enjoyed reading my translations. It has been fun working with you people.
Although I'm a fairly new member, I know a good contributor when I see one and I've seen a lot of your contributions around the site.
It's a shame to lose such a good contributor, if there was anything I could deter you with, I'd use it, but it seems you are determined. Thank you for the translations, I know many people would agree with that and I hope, or perhaps we all hope you will continue to be a still standing part of the Danbooru community as a normal member at the very least. I thank you personally for allowing me to enjoy pieces of art on this site with dialogue that I could only partially understand.
