Kemonomimi always bugged me on how their animal ears are near the tops of their heads. Do they have human ears? Almost all kemonomimi have long-ish hair, so the place where human ears are supposedly are always concealed.

This is why Utawarerumono is one of my favorite series. The characters' animal ears stick out the sides. It sounds odd, but looks good.

Ya but, almost all animals do have their ears on their head though? Would'nt bunny girls look kinda weird to have their ears on the side of their head?

Utawarerumono has the animal ears more anatomically correct, I agree, at least for human shape heads. Even in Utaware, the tribes with rabbit ears have them sticking out from where human ears are supposed to be, and they look just fine.

It might just be me but I was looking at my dog one time and her skin where her ears were, MOVED, when she heard something!

Agreed, those "Rabbit" ears are diffenetly not rabbit ears at all.

The prolem here is actually one of size, not placement. Animals ears, if taken as a whole, actually do go to the sides of the head; thier inner ears and ear canals are basically in the same place as on us. the difference is that primates have a much taller skull than most animals; there's a lot more top to it. If one was to give a Keronomimi ear that were roughly the same in propprtion to what they are on a real animal, theyd bacially cover the entire side of the head from crown to sides, and would each be be almost as big as the head itself(they dont look like that on an animal becuse they have all that extra "front" to thier skull). Since this would look really really weird (unless you were talking about a Keronomimi whose animal side was a bat) the ears tend to be shrunk down a little, proportionately but tis means they cant cover the whole area down to the sides of the head, hence the "human ears under" thing.

So she really is a catgirl fullway...

Hilarious. I'm not sure if it was intentional or not, but this closely resembles a doujin about a cowgirl. Long story short, boy puts ears on her, and knocks her up.
