Wouldn't be suprised if she had tiny horns hidden under her hair buns if she is an oni but for now I'm just curious and want to find out more.

True, but imagine all that strength & remove her bandage arm. Well breaking the spirit was no big deal with a simple crush but that depends on her if she was holding back.

Her bandaged arm doesnt even strike me as her 'strong arm' either, considering it crumples under pressure.

But Youmu doesn't kill them...she cuts away their hesitation binding them to the mortal world, causing them to ascend to enlightenment. Kasen actually destroys them.
It's the whole Shinigami/Quincy dynamic from Bleach.
