Does that weapon look like a recolored Lance of Longinus from Evangelion to anyone else?
You need to refresh your mental image of the Spear of Longinus if you think that it does. The Spear's prongs are equal length and face forward. It doesn't have a separate shaft around which the bands are wound, the bands form the shaft itself.
