I don't know what they're saying, but I completely understand if they are annoyed at Kogasa for liking food and drink instead of the awesome Gundam replica.

Because Gundam is awesome rather than food.

Compromise: Look at Gundam, then marvel over food.

Just don't say its better than Sanae's, that would just be stupid.
