Which one? Cuz as far as I know Shenhe was introduced in the interlude quest 1 before Inazuma. While Yelan was introduced in the world quest about the Chasm which is After Inazuma and before Sumeru

It's basically just women version of Xingqiu x Chongyun and this artist seems like it a lot, I don't even remember they ever meet in the game (dunno if I miss something in some events though)

Xingqiu and Chongyun do meet in game several times. In fact, they're part of the Liyue youth group (which also includes Xiangling, Hu Tao, and Xinyan) being all childhood friends with each other.

It's a joke that Yelan is Xinqiu's aunt, while Shenhe is actually related (aunt I believe) to Chongyun. And given their close relationship, people started pairing Yelan with Shenhe and it ended up sticking.

I've said it in an older post but if they can be shipped they will be regardless of if it makes sense or not. Like, i've seen Hu Tao x Barbara for instance. It makes absolutely no sense but people like the idea of it.

Cracked ships blaze their trail, however short it may be. For ScaraMona, it was thanks to an early event where thanks to Mona, she teleports us out before Scara can try to sneakily attack us. Other than that, they were both looking into the fallen meteorites that were putting people to sleep.
