Oh no....the human cicada girl still has her days numbered?

Maybe not numbered but also having to 'hibernate underground' for most of her life but eventually she'll get out into the world for better or for worse. Her original form did have a happy ending as of its last appearance.

I wonder if that was all a dream from her or she compare herself as one...

Well, there are folktales in China and Japan about men dreaming of lives as an ant or butterfly, so perhaps the opposite can happen as well.
