That's not entirely true though. Rinnosuke manages a monopoly in Gensokyo, so ALL food branches of his monopoly will meet it's fateful end, but not the entirety of his business. But, it's a huge blow concerning "financial" issues.
For people wondering about why Meiling is standing there, it's obviously because this strip is a communist propaganda that shows the futility of capitalism in the face of the ever-devouring gluttony of human greed. The setting red sun is a fitting metaphor for the tragic fall of communism.
