    Hang in There, Kogasa-san 45

    This is a diary manga in which I project my daily activities onto Kogasa-san and draw them.

    I wonder why I didn't eat seafood even though I was at Fisherman's Wharf for an hour.
    Well, I was going to an oyster bar that night, so maybe I thought i should save my first impression later for that (^^;)
    By the way, tip calculation is troublesome! (^^;)

    When someone in Japan says "meat", they're almost always referring to beef, specifically.

    Also, good cuts of meat in Japan are extremely expensive, so pretty much all of it is the low-grade (i.e. fatty and gristly) stuff. Thus, "ordering a lot of meat" = "eating a lot of fat" = "kiss your diet goodbye".

    Even if that's true she should be more culturally sensitive! Consuming frankly unhealthy amounts of beef is a proud American tradition! The staff is just making sure he enjoys the full American experience of gross overindulgence and resulting obesity!
