Speaking of things that goes into the "how is that even possible" pool what of Zidane's tail? Sephiroth's sword is turned with the blade facing up...with Zidane's body weight shouldn't his tail be divided up into several pieces by now?

If you pay closer attention the blade is facing downward, because usually the longer end of a katana is the back
