Ahhh the SOLG, reminding me of my first try with it ... and that lovely piece of disintegrated metal plate that smashed my face.

I find it entertaining that the two people who have favorited this so far are myself and Garuda...man, those Tomcats are sexy.

I don't think there's anybody who's beaten the game that hasn't excperienced the bitter taste of solar paneling.

Rip-off scenario from Air Force Delta. (Dreamcast.) And probably a rip-off in that from who knows where.

I admit though, that mission stinks to high heaven. You have no choice, due to the time limit, but to sit there, trying to evade fire from enemy fighters, while at the same time trying to destroy the sattelite before it crashes to earth.

What you didn't manage to shoot them down before it showed up?

I never understood why Ace Combat planes all have violet afterburner exhaust.

If the color spectrum is to be believed, that exhaust must be pretty fucking hot.

Even flying the F-14D (Sakura petals, eee!) I generally manage to whack the fighters before SOLG shows up. And there is more than one way to kill it, you know. You can fly down the barrel and one-shot it.

Usually it's orange...I can't actually think of one in which it's violet like that. Sometimes the rings are, I think...but I don't really pay attention to them.

Unfortunately, in Air Force Delta, even on the 'easy' level, the fighters and the sattelite show up at the same time. What sucks the most though, is that the mission ends as soon as you shoot the sattelite down, so you aren't able to turn on the annoying little gnats who have been shooting at you and give them what for.

I've done it and its not that difficult really. It helps if you take a small plane though, something like the X-29. You could also just shoot down the barrel with the Falken laser, but why not just blast apart the front at that point.

that mission is epic <3 ... the 3 moments ... the tension to fight Ofnir and Galbarc before the Solg show up ... after that the emotive parts whit your 3 wingsman ...and ... the SOLG ... when he start to show up the Unsung War theme start ... everything who you know start to turn epic ... personaly ... i enjoy more when is the part of the SOLG for the theme and make me shut down him part by part whit the gun as always (shut down fast Ofnir and Galbarc and the SOLG part by part give you the S rank and in Free Mission you can have the posibility to shut down a ace whit a Mig 1.44 who show up in the 2nd part after shut down ofnir and galbarc )...

I must correct myself on this. I've been playing all the Ace Combats recently, and each time I've thought to look on the modern games, the engine flames are purple. That's odd.
