Yo, I just cannot believe this!

And even when I had lost all hope after AlphaDream's death. First SMRPG gets a remake, then PMTTYD gets a remake, and THE MARIO & LUIGI RPG SERIES (which I thought was DEAD) gets a BRAND SPANKING NEW GAME on SWITCH!

My guys, we're truly living in a Mario role-playing Renaissance!

WE'RE SO BACK!!!

i didn't get to watch the Nintendo Direct 6.18.2024 live when it was streaming, but when I finally got around to it, there were definitely some interesting surprises this direct, and some of the games seem interesting enough I'd like to try, but OBVIOUSLY, the highlight for me is the very first announcement they've showed off: Mario & Luigi: Brothership! I was quite shocked when I found out that Nintendo still finds value in this series. The gameplay and animations in themselves look all look pretty fluid and I gotta say, I'm impressed and I can't wait! What a time to be alive.

But I have to be brutally honest, while I am still very much excited to play the game, I am not a huge fan of the new 3D artstyle they've gone with, especially when it comes to the boxart. It just seems so off not seeing the unique brush techniques in the art like they did for the first few games. Don't get me wrong, I don't mind that the actual game itself is in full 3D, but I wish they could have AT LEAST kept the unique original charming 2D boxart style of Superstar Saga throughout Bowser's Inside Story. Heck, even DT's or Paper Jam's artstyle were decent enough! That's my only real nitpick. (Like 'cmon. I never went to college and even I could do better than that, as I've proven already. HIRE ME NINTENDO, lol.)

But you know what?!! Who needs to rely on Nintendo to preserve the original charm of the iconic "Mario & Luigi" RPG artstyle when literally you've got one of the best art style imitators around? I am a connoisseur of this style at this point, so even with AlphaDream gone now, I'm probably the next best thing nowadays!

If any of ya'll want your daily dosage of Mario & Luigi RPG goodness with artwork that's 100% true to the spirit of AlphaDream's legacy, be sure to give me a commission inquiry sometime whenever I'm available for them (or if not, just at least just watch me make more from the sidelines, lol)! It's God's will for me that I keep the torch lit for Mario & Luigi's authentic style!
