If you look at the last comic, Suika was sleeping (dying?) under the kotatsu.

She might be crying because she spent time preparing a nice meal only to have it demolished.

Actually, since Suika can manipulate density, Reimu and suika shouldnt ever get hungry. So long as they have a mere crumb, suika could increase the density to make the crumb a loaf of bread the size of a house.

Are you sure those "Slurp"s in the fourth panel aren't just heavy breathing noises? "Hafu" sounds like Reimu's trying to get some oxygen in between all that eating and drinking.
Plus, y'know, the little breath puffs.

If you look closely, the panel 6, the cup is half-hidden
Reimu by the suit, not that it has eaten XD

Extreme hunger and poverty can make pretty much anyone that way.
