After watching eps 4, I get the feeling that he actually recruits the magical girls just to see them fight each other....he surely looked like he's ready to double cross everyone if necessary

I dont think so. No one knows his motives clearly just yet.

Tis. Even though that Madoka Magica is somesort of Mahou Shoujou it sure is really dark in a way. Heck the first episode was a total mindf*ck.

I just know that Tomoe is a bit*h/supervillain. You can not have a face like hers and be a good character. I'm sure anybody who have enough experience(Yuuka and Russia lovers, where are you guys?) can tell.

If you look at the magical girl vs. witch struggle as a process, it seems to me that Kyuubee is initiating the fights as a method of harvesting magic. Consider the flow of magic: prior to combat, the girl has limited borrowed magic and the witch has a great amount, and afterwards the girl is restored her limited amount and the rest...? Consumed by the Contract I assume.

Kyuubee's intentions may still be unclear, but I think it's pretty clear that he treats the magical girls as tools, and shows favoritism based on their efficacy. He ignores Homura because she seems to know his nature.

My bet is that Kyuubee is the avatar of some great sealed evil, gathering magic through conflict to free himself. :S

Until we see more of the story and his motives I am not going to assume he is bad right away.

I agree that his motives are not clear yet, but I think it is quite clear he isn't granting miracles out of charity.

I think it would be more interesting if he turns out to the the final boss or something. It would be pretty lame if, after making him look so shady, he turns out to really be just a plush toy.

Personally I'm hoping he's neither.

To defeat Witches, you need Magical Girls.
Whilst it's not been confirmed, there's some heavy hints the Witches are fallen Magical Girls.
Thus to defeat the Witches, you are at the same time potentially creating them... but you still need Magical Girls anyway.

It's a bit of a broken situation...
