Additionally there has also been a second major migration away from Twitter to Bluesky following the election. Part of a second wave following the first wave of migrations due to the TOS changes. This was at least partially due to liberal leaning groups migrating to Bluesky, particularly as several big names have left Twitter for Bluesky. It also sounds like some news outlets may have also left Twitter, though not necessarily going to Bluesky, but their departure from Twitter is helping diminish reasons for some users to stay.
They will come crawling back to Twitter, like all the other people who said they were "leaving Twitter" in the past 2 years.
No one is coming 'crawling back' to that dumpster heap. The difference on the site from the past two years is laughably immense, for the worse. The only people I've seen truly having an issue letting go are artists with a sizable following there, and that's only because for many of them it's their actual source of income. But even those people are more and more realizing how hostile the site has become for artists.
This will change nothing. Wherever the artists will go, the image scrapers, haters and other detritus they think they can escape will follow. They will still see their images used as training data, still struggle with getting favor from an uncaring algorithm, and still be left waiting for help from an overstretched moderation team when problems inevitably arise. The only difference will be in the UI.

Bluesky is already facing issues because people there report anything and everything. Sad.
EDIT: Apparently Bluesky TOS explicitly says by posting on the site, you give them permission to use them as they see fit, while you can just turn off Grok on Twitter, then they cannot use your art to train their AI.
In 2022, the great long-promised Twitter killer was Mastodon; in 2023, it was Threads; and in 2024, it apparently is Blue Sky. Guess that we will see if the third time is the charm.

Bluesky has definitely gained a lot due to Twitter and it's owner's own actions, but it's currently not a "Twitter killer," though none of the sources I've read about Bluesky's recent gains have called it that. These migrations have helped to boost Bluesky's user numbers to over 15 million accounts, which is massively smaller than Twitter's user numbers regardless if you're using Twitter's numbers (higher) or third-party sources' numbers (lower). Of the details that are available on Twitter's numbers, it is known that EU users for the first six months of 2024 has shown a 5% decline in active users, with the EU accounting for around 1/5th of Twitter's user base.

Libsofbluesky much like libsoftiktok removes context in order to paint a narrative. Right below that comment they explain the types of reports such as scams, spam, trolling(that ones iffy) as well as removing csam. No one is returning to Twitter and the most obvious sign of that is ironically that libsofbluesky account.

1. I am not saying all the reports are "malicious reports", of course there will be reports of legitimate issues. The point is a large section of the demographic that migrated to Bluesky has the disposition to report anything that moves under the sun.
2. The existence of LibsOfBluesky simply means there are enough "libs" on Bluesky due to the recent election. It has been just over a week. They have done this before in 2020 when Musk first acquired Twitter. A bunch of people left due to "Twitter is a Nazi platform because of Musk", then came crawling back within a month. Perhaps it would be different this time. Perhaps Bluesky will become a big enough echo chamber that they do not feel the need go back on Twitter. If that is the case, good for them. Their content are not the ones that shows up on my timeline anyways.
This a reposting problem that affects us in this website who look for the best quality anime images in the internet. We cannot get any higher resolution images from bluesky posts. Making us have to go use another image source such as pixiv, twitter, etc...
I doubt the resolute problem would get fixed since reposting is mostly frowned upon in the art community (From what I've seen in banned artists). Still Bluesky is getting popular and I hope for an update for their image sizes.

All things to make twitter better place.
Bluesky already being reddit and threads level echochamber.
and if AI is an issue just know even Bluesky has some adobe like TOS shenanigans with its content so that too should also flag that posting art over at bluesky should be ill advised at least
Honestly, I don't have a horse in the greater Twitter/X vs. Bluesky race, but I just wanted to respond to one thing:

This sort of doomsaying seems to happen a lot, then you actually read the relevant terms of service and it just says, in relevant part, "By using this service you give us a non-exclusive license to show your posts to other people." Specifically, using pretty much any social media platform in existence today is going to involve giving that platform's operators a non-exclusive license to modify, reproduce, and distribute the contents of your posts, and that's all I'm really seeing in that section of Bluesky's ToS. (And yes, they really do need such a license: without it, simply showing your posts to other people would put them on the hook for copyright infringement! Admittedly, some platforms, possibly including Bluesky, may try to claim additional rights that they don't actually need, but simply claiming them is not, in and of itself, a smoking gun.)
@Kozakos: No it's call "libs" in order to trick people to believe it's a liberal-oriented account.
Say whatever you want about what LibsofBluesky's posts and the morality behind them, but their profile makes it absolutely clear that it is a conservative account. 1. Its banner photo is that screaming protester from the 2017 Trump inauguration. 2. Their bio reads: "The left are flocking to their safe space, Bluesky. I will be sharing the best of their deranged posts exposing their insanity for all to see." About the only way for them to make their profile more obviously American conservative was to have a MAGA baseball cap avatar.
@blindVigil : Depend on what are the reason of their banning.
From what I've gathered, it's idiots on Twitter trying to invade and pollute Bluesky with their source of relevance not wanting to deal with them mixed with bots.
Considering the draconian censorship on blusky, eventually.
Hasn't been draconian in months and as long as you label your posts correctly you won't get banned. None of nsfw artist I follow have got banned or warned for posting nsfw

Seriously ?, libsofbluesky just at the name is libsoftiktok but ranting about Bluesky; it'd more likely that they and groups like that will stay on Xitter and normal people will leave there

Honestly if I were an artist and knew this I wouldn't like Bluesky scale down my art for no reason tho
BlueSky is rapidly becoming much like Twitter circa 2017... for all of its insane, toxic Tumblrina nonsense. The types who are fleeing are, for the most part, the same type of people who would harass Scarle for buying from Starbucks. Hopefully, they can fucking stay there.
