Dunsparce's Serene Grace!
I participated Game-Art-HQ's Pokemon Community Collaboration once again! They opened the Gen II collab so I had to make sure to get this baby before someone else did.
Dunsparce never gets old. I've drawn it many times, each time a little bit differently. This time I had to pick an ability of a move to illustrate and I picked Serene Grace because it is just something I associate very strongly with this bugger. A very difficult ability to actually portray without having an actual move used on an opponent, but I worked around it by drawing Dunsparce looking more dynamic, more focused and more graceful than usual. I guess from this focus it can land a very potent Headbutt or Body Slam to stun its opponent.
I did the wing things differently as well. For the past couple of times I've portrayed them as strips of shedding skin but this time I wanted to actually figure out a wing design that could work in theory and help Dunsparce do short sprints in air. It's a Pokemon with some mass and a challenging shape, but I suppose if bumblebees can fly then Dunsparce can also flap its wings really hard to get off ground, hover five meters and land on its tummy. I also tried to take the actual chubby shape it has. I've drawn Dunsparce a bit too slim before but now it has better proportions.
