Gwao~ Alien: Monday is out on Youtube and I couldn't be more pleased. <3

During production I was haunted by the "there better be a cat" comments and needed to come up with an image for the artbook so here's Ashlin's inebriated memory after one too many sake bombs. I wanted to pay homage to the original Alien by dressing Ashlin in similar undergarments to Ripley at the end of that movie. Looked comfy to me..!

Also most of these are my cats and some cats I recently fell in love with while visiting a horse farm. The Himalayan and cow cat are kinds I hope to pet someday in the future.

Anyway, I'm so glad to have designed this character. It's exciting seeing my face style be included so much, so I'm secretly rejoicing every time ppl compliment it and shots/principles I contributed. The scar is for the narrative but also makes me feel better because I have shoulder scars. (Luckily not from any mining accidents)

Also I wanted something surreal, kinda silly and cute after working on spooky, dramatic stuff for so long with @otaking77077.

Dedicated to my orange cat Poopy.
I always poked fun at him but he was good company and had a great heart. I didn't deserve him. I mean, when he wasn't pissing on my things.
