And IMO it's far more badass than wolf version. Not some mere creature, that howls and jump around. Still a human. With all his state and attitude. Prideful and noble. Bursting with power and cold anger.

If you read the chapters in which guts receives the armor, it's explained that it was formerly worn by the skull knight.

So is this supposed to be Guts or Skull Knight?

It's Gutts when he just got/wore the armor, before it starts melding with his psyche.

I'm actually tempted to remove this from the badass pool because it looks like guts is cowering in fear behind a mask and body armor.

I dunno I prefer the wolf version. When you hear the word "Berserk", I think you should imagine something that is crazy, jumping around and ripping everything near it to shreds.
