    Dummy high school girl Mihari-chan!

    At the time of the prequel chapter "Mihari and Skipping Grades" from Volume 4, Mahiro's feeling of inferiority exploded and he said some things that must not be said.
    Onii-chan from that chapter just naturally ignored Mihari, but he must've felt pretty messy inside (although by the time of the main story, he seems to have gotten over it and is happily living as a NEET).

    This ▉▉▉-chan is like a ▉-year-old child, so Onii-chan is always looking after her at home (like in the old days
    Despite Kaede-chan doing her best at school, she is still looked down upon, she's losing her place, she's not leading a proper student life, and she might even drop out soon...

    I like this one a lot for some reason. Dumb happy still-a-brocon Mihari is just plain cute and Kaede helping her out while they finally spend high school life together is sweet, but Mahiro Onii-chan's heavy guilt over what he did and Kaede's look of utter disdain towards him makes this a very sad and dark situation. Turning a comfy setting into something sad and dark is usually just funny to me, but this manages to do it in an astonishingly in-character way that justifies it all.

    Says "in this world Mahiro is not a siscon" Mahiro isn't a siscon in the manga either lmao (s)he even says "only a weirdo would have eyes for their sister" they make a joke about Mihari expecting anime tropes and Mahiro being normal.

    That confused me a little too, but I think it refers to his inferiority complex.
