I can't really blame Kogasa for this one. That's just not the kind of thing that guys generally consider worth noticing.

The "We're a couple so we should wear the same things!" mentality has always struck me as a bit creepy.

Noted. It seems like an Asian thing. Even in Thailand where I'm from, girls would really jump on this trend too. I never really understood it myself.

"mangia" is italian for "she/he eats", so it makes sense.
not really sure why it's in italian, though.
