either stab then pull trigger or point it like the pointing taunts ppl use with swords then pull the trigger? I don't know but those are the only 2 ideas that come to mind with this weapon.

Really? I think I could aim with it just fine. Looking at its design I would most likely aim it almost the same way you would aim a gatling gun . That being said, looking at what i think is the trigger reminds me of some old crossbow triggers. Looking at its design as a whole it looks like it was made specificly for anti-material/anti-tank warfare armed with broad messer like blade for close quarters combat against armored foes.
But since I never played the game I could be way off...
