with all due respect The major factor, that homura made her wish before anyone actually know the truth about the grief seeds and QB plays an important role here so you can't really blame her for being tricked right?

Of course, if you mean "objectively", then the end result of the first timeline was actually the best one. WPN was defeated at the cost of only Madoka's and Mami's life. That's a pretty good outcome if you compare it to the utter shitstorm of TL 3 or 5. Not even mentioning 4.

Actually, Krugger, I think that might not be the case. I think that the previous timeline Madoka (before timeline 5) is not strong enough to survive the fight against WN because of her wish is not about "protecting" someone. And we all know that wishes/will about "protecting" always gives +10 STR boost in any anime.
Just my speculation btw, don't believe any of it.
