I'm planning to write a story about living in a floating base on Venus.
The setting is provisional and focused on fun, so hardcore fact-checkers, please hit the back button immediately!!

(By the way, even if a floating city were to become a reality, I wouldn't want to live on Venus.)

Atmosphere

Aviation Light

Since there is no oxygen in the atmosphere, hydrogen can be used without risk. Additionally, because Venus’s atmosphere is heavier than Earth's atmosphere, even Earth's air can function as a lifting gas.

Sail

In Venus's upper atmosphere, winds blow at speeds of up to 100 m/s due to a phenomenon called super-rotation. A single day on Venus lasts a staggering 117 Earth days, but by riding these winds, this can be shortened to about 4 Earth days. (On the other hand, if you fail to catch the wind, you’ll be scattered apart.) By tilting the sail, you can adjust your course and avoid collisions with other bases.

(The design hasn't been decided yet, so this is just a rough idea.) A spacecraft capable of hovering using an electric lift fan. It docks with the base using a hook, similar to the former flying aircraft carrier "Akron." In addition to being a return vehicle, it can also be used as a rescue craft.

Venus is closer to the Sun than Earth. Since the base flies above the thick sulfuric acid clouds, it can generate electricity using the intense sunlight.

Nobody wants to fall to Venus's surface, but during EVA, this Float Pack is worn as a precaution in case of accidental descent. Upon deployment, a drogue chute first opens to slow the fall. Next, a folded airbag is filled with hydrogen, creating a tiny airship. It remains above the sulfuric acid clouds, allowing the user to await rescue.

Even though the atmospheric pressure and temperature are similar, there is no oxygen, so a helmet and oxygen are necessary. Oxygen is generated from the carbon dioxide in the atmosphere.
